Overview
Metcor Electrical recently delivered a future-ready EV charging solution at the UK headquarters of a major commercial manufacturer. The project supports the client’s sustainability goals and shift towards low-emission transport, with the installation of five dual ChargePoint CP6000 chargers – each finished with bespoke branded vinyls to align with the client’s visual identity.
Scope of Work
The full turnkey package included both electrical and civil engineering works to ensure a high-capacity, scalable solution. Key components of the installation included:
- Installation of a GRP feeder pillar
- Delivery of a new 400A power supply to support EV charging demand
- Installation of a Proteus EV distribution board for safe, efficient load management
- All associated cabling and infrastructure to power the chargers
- Phased installation totalling 10 dual 22kW chargers
- Spare 150mm ducting installed to support future expansion
Outcome
Now fully operational, the new EV infrastructure provides the client with a branded, reliable, and long-term solution that supports their operational and environmental objectives. The site is now better equipped to accommodate increasing demand for EV charging and future upgrades.
