What are electrical remedials?
Remedials are corrective works identified during an inspection or following an emergency. Common remedial works include replacing damaged wiring, faulty sockets, outdated fuse boards, or non-compliant safety components.
Are remedials required after an EICR?
If the EICR reports ‘C1’, ‘C2’, or ‘FI’ codes, remedial work is required to make the installation safe and compliant. It is critical to understand that you have not achieved compliance until the necessary remedial works have been carried out – the EICR itself will not suffice.
How long does remedial work take to complete?
Following an inspection or emergency, our technical team will immediately quote any remedial defects flagged. Works can then be scheduled and completed promptly. We offer priority scheduling for any safety-critical issues.
