Salary: Circa £30,000 per annum

Reporting to: Group Sales & Marketing Director

Contract: Full-time, initially maternity cover, with potential for longer-term career opportunities

The Opportunity

Metcor Group is looking for an ambitious, commercially minded Client Success Executive to help generate new business opportunities, grow revenue from existing clients and support our sales team.

Working closely with our Client Relationship Managers (CRMs) and Business Development Managers (BDMs), you’ll proactively contact potential customers, identify opportunities within existing client organisations and arrange qualified sales meetings. You’ll also analyse client spending and sales performance to uncover opportunities for growth, cross-selling and recovering lost business.

Alongside this, you’ll support the sales team by managing client enquiries and following up outstanding actions, allowing our salespeople to focus on developing relationships and winning business.

We’re looking for someone with initiative, commercial curiosity and confidence. Previous sales experience isn’t essential, but a genuine enthusiasm for contacting clients and generating business is.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation and Business Development

  • Proactively research and contact prospective clients, Facilities Managers and decisionmakers, generating qualified leads and arranging meetings for CRMs and BDMs.
  • Identify new contacts within existing client organisations who are not using Metcor, developing opportunities across additional sites and portfolios.
  • Maintain a structured programme of outbound calls and emails, working towards agreed activity, meeting and opportunity targets.
  • Re-engage dormant and low-spending customers, and follow up aged, expired or unsuccessful quotations to recover business.
  • Understand client requirements, record opportunities in Pipedrive and work with salespeople to ensure they are progressed.

Commercial Analysis and Revenue Growth

  • Analyse client spending across drainage, pumps and electrical services to identify cross-selling opportunities and potential revenue growth.
  • Identify accounts, sites and portfolios where spending has reduced or fallen below expectations, investigating reasons and recommending actions.
  • Review sales pipelines, conversion rates and lost opportunities to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Use Excel, Power BI and Pipedrive to identify and prioritise opportunities, producing practical reports for the sales team.
  • Track opportunities generated, their progression through the pipeline and the revenue ultimately secured.

Client Relationship and Sales Support

  • Support CRMs and BDMs with client enquiries, account requirements and day-to-day sales activities.
  • Act as a link between Sales, Operations, Estimating and Finance, taking ownership of outstanding actions relating to quotations, reports, bookings and invoice queries, following them through to completion.
  • Prepare client account review information, including spending trends, outstanding issues and growth opportunities, and coordinate agreed follow-up actions.
  • Provide client support during CRM holidays and absences, ensuring enquiries are handled promptly.
  • Support tender and PQQ submissions, client onboarding, supplier compliance requests and relevant sales documentation.
  • Maintain accurate client, contact and opportunity records in Pipedrive, including processing orders and purchase orders.

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Positive, proactive and commercially curious, with the confidence and initiative to identify opportunities and take action.
  • Enthusiastic about contacting clients, making outbound calls and generating qualified sales meetings.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel, with the ability to organise and analyse data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Strong numerical, communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, organised and persistent, with the ability to manage competing priorities and follow actions through to completion.

Desirable but Not Essential

  • Experience in sales, customer service, account management, operations, sales support or commercial analysis.
  • Experience with Excel pivot tables, XLOOKUP, Power BI or CRM systems such as Pipedrive.
  • Knowledge of drainage, pumps, electrical services, facilities management or commercial property.
  • A degree in engineering, business, marketing, economics or a related discipline.

We welcome applications from existing Metcor employees, graduates and external candidates. We value attitude, initiative and potential as highly as previous experience or qualifications, and training will be provided to develop the skills required for the role.

What Success Looks Like

  • Consistently generating qualified leads, client meetings and new sales opportunities.
  • Identifying opportunities to increase revenue from existing clients and recover lost business.
  • Using commercial analysis to identify and prioritise opportunities for growth.
  • Tracking opportunities through the pipeline and the revenue ultimately generated.
  • Providing effective client support and ensuring outstanding actions are progressed promptly.

Career Development

Metcor Group is growing rapidly, creating opportunities for ambitious individuals to develop their skills and build a long-term career.

Although this position initially provides maternity cover, we’re looking for someone who wants to grow with the business. For the right individual, there may be opportunities to move into a permanent position and progress within our Business Development or Client Relationship teams, or into Commercial Analysis.
